The Latrun Monastery, monastery of the Silent Monks, is the only
Trappist Monastery in Israel. It is located at the top of a hill in the
Latrun Salient with a fabulous view of the Ayalon Valley, overlooking
the road between Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem. This place attracts lots of
travelers by its great location as it's close to the Holy City and such
places of interest as Mini Israel and Yad La-Shiryon Museum.
There are vineyards and olive trees, and the monks make and sell
unique wine and grape juice.
This time we were flying over a nice neighborhood of Haifa Bat Galim (Daughter of Waves),
located on the Mediterranean coast. Many people go out for a pleasant walk along the
promenade to enjoy the beauty of sunset.

The city of Haifa is so beautiful and diverse, that it's impossible to show all it's beauty in one short film,
therefore this is our first part of Haifa sketches. We started flying over the Stella Maris Carmelite Monastery,
built in the 19th century. Just across from the monastery there is an Old Lighthouse with a magnificent view
of the sea. We also filmed International Convention Center, the largest international congress center.
You can also notice the building of Haifa mall nearby.
Ramon Crater/Makhtesh is located at the peak of Mount Negev and
there is a small town Mitzpe Ramon located on the northern edge
of the crater. It is considered to be the world's largest crater:
40 km long, 2-10 km wide and 500 meters deep. It contains
different kinds of rocks, including red and yellow clay hills.
You can meet there Nubian Ibexes.
The Dead Sea in Israel attracts many people from all over the world. It's the
lowest point on the earth (427 meters below sea level) and a natural health spa.
The water has the highest concentration of salt in the world, that's why it's called
the Dead Sea, as there's no any form of life in the sea due to the salinity. On the
other hand, it provides health effects and therapies, as the waters are rich with
minerals. It's warm there all year round and the place has become a modern
vacation destination and a great combination of calmness, relaxation and treatment.
The western shore welcomes you with organized convenient beaches and you'll find
dozens of hotels and guest houses there.
We continue shooting interesting places in Israel and this time we've flown over one
the most attractive sites for tourists, an ancient port city in Israel, the oldest part of
Tel Aviv-Yafo, the old city of Jaffa. According to one of the myths the city was named
after Noah's son, named Japheth. Some people believe it comes from the Hebrew
word "Yofi" - beauty. Jaffa Lighthouse located in the old port is one of the tourist
attractions. Visitors can take a pleasant walk around the city, enjoying its narrow
alleys named after the signs of the Zodiac. There are art galleries and studios,
jewelry shops, cafes and restaurants, museums, mosques and churches.
The church you can see in our film is called St. Peter's Church, a Franciscan
Roman-Catholic one, built on the remains of a Crusaders fortress.
You can also enjoy the view of Tel Aviv Promenade and modern
buildings of Tel Aviv at the background.
The Arabah (Arava) is a desert area, which starts from the southern end the Sea of Galilee,
goes down to the Dead Sea and ends at the Gulf of Aqaba. The desert landscape is various
and at some places looks like a moonscape. There are special tracks for people who like hiking
and you can choose a route to get to the Mount Sodom (Har Sdom), made of rock salt and
famous for one of its pillars called "Lot's wife" with reference to the biblical story of destruction
of Sodom and Gomorrah. Another interesting fact about Arava is that it's believed that
King Solomon had copper mines there.
Since we have been helping RDx for almost two years, his present state of health
allows the CyberKnife operation to apply. Over the time RDx underwent four cycles
of chemotherapy and one course of radiation therapy.
The latest diagnostics and tests make much better showings.
The CyberKnife surgery is possible now.
Last year, while we all donated for the CyberKnife, the tumour returned and grew
in size which made the operation impossible. For that year three courses of chemotherapy
were performed which reduced the tumour and stabilized it. Positive diagnostic shownings
allow to apply the CyberKnife. The CyberKnife surgery is expensive and not covered by
insurance. All the previously collected money is only 50% of the required amount.
So we ask you again to do what you can to help our and your friend.
With huge gratitude to all of you .
God bless you and be healthy.
Avaxhome Team.
UPDATE from RDx, 01.04.2015:
Dear friends,
My trusty Team!
Fourth course of tablets chemotherapy has been passed. Preliminary diagnostics showings are very positive.
There is hope for a full recovery. It is necessary to consolidate all the positive with the CyberKnife surgery.
The funds needs to be raised. The operation is to be performed in June-July.
More precise date can be pointed upon the accurate diagnostics in mid-April.

For hundreds of years, travel has been heavily romanticized in society. The thrill of journeying, seeing new places, getting acquainted with new cultures and making new friends is a dream for many, and an important element of lifestyle for many more. Travelling is the occasion when you put all of your struggles, tasks, and stresses aside and escape to somewhere totally new or just different from your standard environment. Given these truths, it’s easy to see why we value travel so much and poeticize it at every occasion, yet there is one vitally influential element of travelling people pay little attention to, without reason. This is the element of accommodation. Accommodation is usually associated with the tedious and impersonal process of hotel check-in/check-out, but we will tell you about a better choice, and its name is Airbnb...
The Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa, Israel, is a Bahá’í holy place and a major tourist site in Haifa,
the garden terraces are located around the golden-domed Shrine of the Báb on Mount Carmel.
The staircase includes nineteen extremely beautiful terraces, extending almost a kilometer,
covering about 200000 square meters of land. The gardens combine works of stone and
metal as well as fountains and green expansive lawns. The garden overlooks the panoramic
views of the city, the Galilee Hills and the Mediterranean Sea.
